Memorial Lutheran's constant awareness of our Lord's "Great Commission" to "preach the Gospel to all nations" gives us the strong desire to fulfill this command by focusing on those in spiritual need outside our own community.
For over 66 years our congregation has supported the work of missions through our church District Office and Synod. In addition we have adopted individual missionaries and mission projects funded through offerings and donations.
Since the 1980's, the congregation has become more personally involved in missions by sending short-term missionaries to Mexico to witness our faith, hold Vacation Bible School classes for the children, and help construct churches, schools, homes and a Youth Center. The Mexico Mission efforts have been coordinated with other Lutheran churches in the area, who gladly work and serve together to minister to the impoverished people of Mexico. If you have any questions about our Mission work - you can contact the church office.
