I’m Pastor Dan Adams, and I’ve been blessed to serve the Lord and people of Memorial Vancouver for 30 years! I’m originally a Minnesota farm boy, and after High School I felt led to Concordia colleges in Nebraska and California, which paved the way to my Pastoral training in Canada. My first call to serve a congregation brought me to the Yakima Valley in Washington. In 1989, I was called to Memorial in Vancouver, where my four wonderful kids were born and have grown up. I have come to call the Pacific NW my new home, although roots will always run back to Minnesota. My wife Yolanda and I are surrounded by caring people who love and serve the Lord with us, and we enjoy ‘family time’ and exploring God’s creation.

I have spent 30+ years in Human Resources Management, with a specialty in employee benefits, and enjoyed (almost) every minute of it. It was a pleasure to have many opportunities to assist employees in navigating the world of employment. I am now “semi” retired, living in Kalama, WA, with my husband, four cats, and a dog. (Yes, I am the crazy cat lady my kids always said I’d be.) I have two children and four grandchildren, all who live in Oregon. In the somewhat distant past, I taught and performed middle eastern dancing, and belonged to a dance troupe (Nejoum Al Sahara) for about ten years. I’ve lived most of my life in the Pacific Northwest, and after traveling, living and working elsewhere, I consider the Northwest the absolute best place to live in the U.S.!
